I due generali maggiormente stimati da Napoleone persero la vita lo stesso giorno. Kleber per mano assassina al Cairo. Desaix ferito a morte durante la Battaglia di Marengo. Ex Negrini 6.4.2003 n. 1984.
Surprising coincidence. The two generals most esteemed by Napoleon died on the same day. Kleber was murdered in El Cairo. Desaix was fatally injured during the Battle of Marengo. Ex Negrini Auction, 6.4.2003, lot 1984.
